Introduction

The Shun-Ei Tournament is a lightning tournament played by professionals of 7p or weaker. The preselection is on money earnings (!), the top-13 qualify. The lowest 10 play the first round, the winners are joined by the top-3 and play a knockout tournament. Thinking time is 5 min plus 10 seconds per move byo-yomi. Komi is 5.5 points.

This tournament is defunct.
