Searching Full-board Positions

Position taken from the 20th Kisei sen, game 7

Up to this point we always looked for partial board positions (a quarter or half a board). While studying fuseki one frequently wants to do full board searches as well.

While searching for full board positions the number of hits and thus the resulting variation trees are much smaller than when studying joseki for example.

Using the whole board as search key assures that the games found entirely match with the search window, which does not need to be the case when one uses half board or even smaller regions.
