The hit list
Game overview
The first and most obvious result of a query is the game hit list
which gives an overview of all games containing the pattern you
specified on the search board:
Listed information
The hit list contains the following information:
- Hit
- A sequential number identifying each hit.
- Game
-
A unique identifier for each game in the database.
The game number points to the actual game record
so clicking it will load the game in your SGF viewer
thus enabling you to replay the game.
- Move
-
The moment the position appeared in the game.
The same position can appear several times in the same game.
In that case several hits will be included in the hit list.
The Game identifier will be the same for these
hits, but the Move number will be different.
- Black player
White player
-
Name of the players. The first occurence of a player's name
(Cho Sonjin
for example) points to the biography of that player. The biography
contains information about his/her birthday, strength, name in Japanese
kanji characters (if available) and sometimes a curiculum vitea.
The biography page also contains a pointer to an overview of other
games of that player available in the database.
- Date
- The date the game was played.
List capacity
You can set the maximum number of games returned by GoBase by changing
the settings of the Hit limit menu on the search board.
