Kajiwara Takeo, Born Feb. 25, 1923 in Niigata, Japan.
Finalist for 12th Oza Title, 1964. 2nd place in 8th Pro Best Ten
Tournament, 1971. Visited China in 1965 as official leader of
delegation promoting go and cultural exchanges. Visited Brazil in
1977 promoting go through teaching and exhibitions. Winner of Go
Television Producers Association Award in 1984. With Fujisawa
Shuko and Yamabe Toshiro, was refered to as a member of the
"three crows". Known for his wit and sarcasm, as well as his
uncompromising dedication towards aesthetic play.
Participant in Meijin League seven times, Honinbo League three
times. 1993 record: 1 wins, 8 losses.
Lives in Tokyo, Japan.
