Some history

This brings me to October 1994, the moment we decided at CWI, the centre for Mathematics and Computer Science to join the world-wide web by starting a site as well. I was webmaster at the time and to get acquainted with all these new technologies I decided to create a personal website as a kind of play ground for experiments. Using Go information for contents only seemed natural since it was my main hobby and in a few months time the website "Go, an Addictive Game" was created.

The contents of the website initially consisted of a few hundred professional Go games, news on upcoming amateur Go events and references to other Go relevant information like: how to play Go online on IGS which was up since February, 1992.
